Weekends Away
Each term we provide an opportunity to get out of London for a time of relaxation, refreshment from God’s word and encouragement from one another.
The Knowing God and PTS groups go away in the Autumn term, and in the Spring term we go away together as the St.Andrew’s congregation. The teaching on these weekends aims to summarise a major area of Christian theology, but the weekend also provides a forum in which to relax and get to know one another. We often take the advantage of some wonderful countryside to go for walks, play sport or just sit in the sun.
We persuade outside speakers to join us and help us understand an area of Christian thought in which they have studied at some depth. Recent speakers have included Mike Ovey and Matt Fuller from Oak Hill Theological College. Recent topics have included the cross, and the Church.
In the summer term the year culminates with ‘REVIVE’, the Co-Mission weekend away in Portsmouth.
